Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 1 tsp Sokai Ceremonial Matcha
  • 60 ml hot water (75–80°C / 170–175°F)
  • Silence. And intention.

Tools

  • Matcha bowl (chawan)
  • Bamboo whisk (chasen)
  • Fine mesh sifter

Instructions

  1. Breathe.
    Before you begin, take a moment. Matcha is not just a drink. It’s a moment.

  2. Sift the matcha.
    Place 1 tsp of Sokai matcha in your bowl and sift to remove clumps.
    This is how you honor the leaf.

  3. Add hot water.
    Not boiling — just warm enough to awaken the essence.
    Pour 60 ml of water gently over the powder.

  4. Whisk with care.
    Using your chasen, whisk in a zig-zag motion (M or W shape) until a fine green foam forms.
    This is not speed. It’s rhythm.

  5. Drink slowly.
    No sugar. No milk.
    Just you and the plant.

Notes

  • For stronger flavor, use 1.5 tsp.
  • For meditation, drink in silence.
  • For morning clarity, pair with deep breathing.
